Software Developer, ICT Consultant, and Digital Marketing Specialist will be the positions with the highest number of vacancies in 2025
According to data from the Employment Map, the digital profiles that will be most in demand by the labor market in Spain during the first months of 2025 will be Software Developer, ICT Consultant, and Digital Marketing Specialist. Compared to previous months’ data, the top two positions remain unchanged, while a specialty that was in fifth place in the previous quarter rises to third.
Using artificial intelligence and big data, our Employment Map analyzes job offers published over the last three months on the Infojobs, Tecnoempleo, and ticjob portals to visually and interactively show the most in-demand digital profiles and skills in the country’s labor market.
Most sought-after digital profiles and skills
The latest data, published in December 2024, recorded over 68,546 job offers for digital professions, 20% more than in the third quarter of 2024. This confirms the trend of increasing demand for experts in technological disciplines and areas that continue to evolve.
The five most in-demand profiles have been:
- Software Developer, with over 8,470 vacancies.
- ICT Consultant, with 8,034 job offers.
- Digital Marketing Specialist, with more than 6,960.
- ICT Technical Professional, accumulating 5,040 vacancies.
- Digital Project Manager, with 4,899.
In addition to information on job offers for digital profiles, the Employment Map also provides data on the most sought-after digital skills or competencies in the market.
Over the past three months, Cloud Computing has been the most requested skill, appearing in 76,425 published offers. This is followed by Java, in more than 6,176 vacancies; JavaScript in just over 3,160 offers; and Git, listed in 2,928.
Where are more digital profiles needed?
If we analyse the data on the supply of vacancies for digital profiles according to location, Madrid has the highest number of vacancies with 19,146, almost 28% of the total.
Second place goes to Catalonia, where a total of 13,340 vacancies have been registered in the last three months, 92.4% of which belong to the province of Barcelona.
The bronze position is held by the Valencian Community, one position above the last quarter, with 3,766 vacancies. Of these, almost 71% are located in the province of Valencia.
Andalusia drops one place compared to last quarter’s data, with 3,558 vacancies. Malaga is the province with the highest demand – 1,559 profiles – followed by the province of Seville with 1,071.
