At '42' you will learn to think, do, adapt and evolve to overcome any challenge of today or in the future.

Can you imagine a school without classes, no books, no age limit and open 24/7, and is free? It’s called 42. An innovative and disruptive concept, reaching Spain for the first time at the hands of Fundación Telefónica. If you are over the age of 18 and want to be a highly skilled professional, 42 is for you. You do not need previous training or qualifications. You only need to be persistent and want to “learn how to learn”. 42 is free and open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so that you can work and learn at your own pace.

42 is a philosophy of life, a new way of relating to learning and the digital profiles of the future. It is a unique opportunity for comprehensive training in the digital skills and competences really demanded by the job market. A place where you learn through gamification, where each student is free to set out their learning pace and in which teamwork, effort and consistency are rewarded.

José María Álvarez-Pallete, Chairman of Telefónica, presents #42MadridFTef as the only school that applies the immense potential of digitisation to the learning method.

This learning process usually lasts 3 years on average and follows a methodology based on projects from the different areas of the programme. 42 is a live campus, where there are currently 250 projects that are constantly growing and being updated. These are organised according to a programming tree with 21 levels, that the students face, as if it were a video game, by passing the phases and acquiring skill-based knowledge.

The ‘peer to peer’ concept is fundamental in the learning process and within the methodology itself. It is not possible to move on to the next level unless you have worked in a collaborative manner, as it is the students who evaluate each other. The efficiency of this methodology is evident with 100% of the students in all the countries where 42 is present finding work. In fact, during their time in the campus, each student will received an average of eight job offers.
