Telefónica Volunteers Solidarity Challenges
Solidarity Challenges are challenges launched by Fundación Telefónica to company work teams seeking to respond to a social cause.
To this end, specific goals are set. If they are achieved, they are transformed into a cash prize that the collaborating social organisation receives.
At the moment, the Challenges that are being developed are:
¡Chiquillo Accede! – Mapcesible Canarias
Together with the Canarian Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities (FCFPD), it seeks to achieve at least 250 site mappings with the Mapcesible application.
The financial award will go to the FCDPD Sports School to support its three main sporting strands this year: boccia, power wheelchair hockey and slalom. All activities focus on promoting sport for people with disabilities.
Deja huella en los Mowis
This Solidarity Challenge, developed by the Security Directorate together with the Asociación Española Síndrome de Mowat Wilson (AESMOWI) aims to give more visibility to this disease and to be a point of support for family members and those affected.
This disease is a genetic alteration that affects many parts of the body and there are 40 people affected by this disease in Spain.
Buen Camino with People and Aprocor
The goal of the Challenge is for all participants to reach a total of 10,000 km by 5 June, as part of a collaborative sports challenge through the United Heroes virtual platform.
The aid will go to Aprocor, a foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families while promoting a model of an inclusive society.
CENTRAL TERRITORY CHALLENGES
Together with the Fundación Allegro, the aim is to promote the “Vacas Etiopía” project, an initiative to transform the country’s dairy sector.
They collaborate with people from disadvantaged communities and under challenging circumstances in Ethiopia.
Playing for dreams II Edition
In collaboration with Fundación Juegaterapia, this program seeks to support the creation and dissemination of a documentary created by the organization to raise awareness of its cause.
Juegaterapia is an organisation whose aim is to support hospitalised children and their families through solidarity actions, in-person and virtual events, inclusive workshops and fund-raising campaigns.
Su deseo, nuestro reto
Developed by Telefónica Spain’s Aftersales, Business, Territories and SMEs Division together with Fundación Pequeño Deseo, this challenge will fulfil 5 wishes of hospitalised children.
Fundación Pequeño Deseo aims to positively impact the well-being of children experiencing illness, enhancing their resilience and capacity to overcome challenges. They are guided by hope.
Magia Sin Límites – 2025 Edition
The General Secretariat and Regulation Department joined Fundación Abracadabra in a Solidarity Challenge in which Fundación Telefónica’s contribution will be used for magic workshops for people with intellectual disabilities in employability contexts, with the aim of boosting their communication, creative and teamwork skills.
This program has the aim of giving hope back to those who most urgently need it: hospitalised children, elderly people in isolation, people with mental or physical disabilities, young people at risk of social exclusion, as well as any group that is in a particularly difficult emotional state. This is the aim of Fundación Abracadabra.
EAST TERRITORY CHALLENGES
Together with the Fundación Ribera Salud, this Solidarity Challenge is aimed at raising funds to help rebuild the sports facilities of the Benjamin, Alevín and Youth football clubs in the regions of L’Horta Sud and Ribera Alta, which were devastated by the DANA.
This social organisation seeks to contribute to the improvement of people’s overall health, quality of life and well-being.
