Responsible Use of Technology

Responsible Use of Technology

We promote a safe and responsible use of technology among minors by raising awareness and providing training and support.

Telefónica, an active participant in this digital revolution from the beginning, has always understood the potential of technology, but also its risks. Telefónica has demonstrated for over a decade its firm commitment to addressing these risks by encouraging and promoting the responsible use of technology and the protection of minors on the internet.

At Fundación Telefónica we address this commitment through the initiative Tecnología con todos los sentidos, which promotes:

– Awareness-raising and outreach;
– Training and support.

The aim is to encourage children and their environment to use technology in a responsible, healthy and sensible manner. And we do it hand in hand with different partners to join forces and to be able to go further. In addition, many of these initiatives are supported by Telefónica Volunteers who, with their experience and solidarity, accompany young people, families and teachers in their training.

Together we join forces to build a safe digital environment for children and adolescents to have a positive impact on their future.

Digital Rights

Rights and Liberties in the Digital Environment

Fundación Telefónica is part of the Digital Rights Observatory, an initiative launched by Red.es, a public entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration, through the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. Its objective is to promote the monitoring, dissemination, debate and promotion of Digital Rights among citizens and public and private organizations, as well as the creation of a Digital Rights observation space. The activities are funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan through NextGenerationEU funds. Fundación Telefónica joins this project through different activities, such as this series of events in the auditorium of Espacio where international experts will debate the various aspects that affect citizens within the framework of Digital Rights, such as data for the common good, copyright in the face of advances in generative AI, or the right to information, among many others.
