This book tackles all the problems and difficulties related to the transition into the new educational environment: the scope and evolution of digital divides (access to technology, use of technology and school and society), the attitude and opinion of teachers, the importance of the schools pedagogical guidelines and the position of other agents.

The work is based on different information sources: a survey of schools, reports and databases, focus groups with agents implied in schools transformation and personal interviews (innovators, educational authorities, experts and educational technology producers.
