The fourth EFECTOMIL competition begins to promote the good use of social media by young people

EFECTOMIL is an initiative of the Atresmedia Foundation, in partnership with Fundación Telefónica, to promote positive and safe use of social media and technology by young people. For this purpose, it proposes a competition open to boys and girls aged between 16 and 25 to raise awareness of the different digital risks we face in our daily lives.

The fourth EFECTOMIL competition begins to promote the good use of social media by young people

For the second year in a row, Fundación Telefónica is supporting the Atresmedia Foundation’s Efecto MIL initiative to promote safe and correct use of the new technologies

By means of a video lasting less than 1 minute for Instagram or TikTok, the participants, using their creativity and talent and their own tools, face the challenge of raising awareness of different digital risks by choosing one of the five proposed issues:

  • Addiction to social media
  • The dangers of viral challenges
  • Fake news
  • Harassment on social media
  • Hate speech

The winners will be able to win a technological pack worth €3,000, receive training from different experts and enjoy experiences such as a visit to Atresmedia or one of Fundación Telefónica’s free 42 campuses, renowned as constituting of the most innovative training programmes in the world.
