HackForGood celebrates a new edition of this event that seeks to promote teamwork and creativity for the creation of technology solutions with a social purpose.
The 42 Madrid, 42 Malaga and 42 Barcelona programming campuses hosted, once again, the largest hackathon in Spain, Hack For Good, in which for 48 hours nearly 1000 participants in the 16 cities where it was held sought creative, innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges posed by the organisation.
Luis Prendes, Director General of Fundación Telefónica, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Malaga, Bartolomé Andrés and Leopoldo Sánchez, Head of Public Administrations in the Southern Territory of Telefónica Spain, kicked off the hackathon in Malaga. Prendes said during his speech that “it is an honour for Fundación Telefónica to take part in this initiative and once again turn the 42 Madrid, 42 Malaga and 42 Barcelona programming campuses into epicentres of innovation”.
An exciting finale
The decision of the respective juries to select the three winning projects that go directly to the national final was highly debated, largely motivated by the quality of the ideas presented.
Luis Prendes, Director General of Fundación Telefónica, was present at the 42 Madrid Fundación Telefónica awards ceremony, where he highlighted the involvement of all the participants in achieving solutions aimed at improving people’s lives and promoting inclusive, fair and sustainable digitalisation.
