In 2020, we have realised more than ever that our life is fragile and can be easily disrupted. The world is evolving fast, we have to keep pace with it, adapt and seek to build a better one. We need to rethink the future in all aspects of our lives, from the basics to those that the pandemic has forced us to consider, accelerate or contemplate urgently, in order to shape a new social model.
Opening conference: Yuval Noah Harari
This second edition of the Telos Forum brings together, from 21 November to 6 December 2020, leading thinkers to reflect on the events of 2020 and look to the future. In face-to-face and virtual formats, with interviews, dialogues and round tables, the forum addresses five thematic topics: geopolitics and international politics, cities and health, the future of employment and companies, science in the Arts, and the climate emergency.
For Fundación Telefónica and the Telos magazine the Telos Forum represents one of the highlights of its calendar. We are bringing together leading figures from the journal, members of its scientific committee, with renowned national and international speakers such as the historian and thinker Yuval Noah Harari, the mathematician Cathy O’Neil, the philosopher and the Princess of Asturias Prize winner Michael Sandel, and the Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum, among others. The aim is to promote multilateral debate between the different fields of the arts, science and technology and thus bear witness to a world yet to come.
The events can be followed online on the website and in person at the auditorium of Espacio Fundación Telefónica.
