The Spanish Association of Foundations is holding a working dayat the free programming campus, 42 Madrid, focused on analysing the challenges that the digital era is generating in today's society
The programming campus, 42 Madrid, was the setting for the conference organised by the Spanish Association of Foundations in which around 50 people took part with the aim of debating and analysing the role of social entities at a time of permanent change in which technology must serve as a lever to promote opportunities for the development and growth of all people.
Silverio Agea, Director General of the Spanish Association of Foundations and Luis Prendes, Director General of Fundación Telefónica opened the meeting by highlighting the work of Foundations as vehicles for promoting projects and tools to improve people’s lives.
Those attending the conference had the opportunity to learn about the 42 Fundación Telefónica project from Inés Temes, head of the area of employability and educational innovation at Fundación Telefónica, and Osmani Redondo and Daniel Jiménez, students of 42 Madrid. The three of them highlighted the value of an innovative and disruptive project that, with people at the centre, aims to encourage its students to dream big.
During the day’s presentations, the growing demand for technological profiles due to the permanent digital transformation in which society is immersed was evident. Fundación Telefónica presented New Career Network, the pioneering platform that seeks to connect candidates and vacancies in the digital sector, to the heads of the employability area of the participating foundations.
The session closed with a round table discussion with the participation of: Julia Rodríguez, Director of Development at the Human Age Institute; Luis Aparicio, founding partner of TalentTools; María Viver, Director of the Ranstad Foundation, moderated by Javier Delgado, from the Ergón Foundation.
If anything has become clear after the interventions at the event, it is that employability, talent and innovation must be the triad present in the initiatives, actions and projects that are launched by social entities and Foundations, regardless of their field of action.
