The Virtual Career Advisor and the Employment Map, awarded in the category of Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Age for their value as tools providing information on employment opportunities.

Telefónica Foundation has been awarded for the Mapa del Empleo and Orientador Profesional Virtual tools in the Premios Ciudadanos which, this year, celebrate their 30th anniversary.

The Citizens Awards, a non-profit project that was created with the vocation to educate and promote a Society in Values through its activities and projects, are a recognition of projects, institutions and personal careers.

The Employment Map and the Virtual Career Advisor have been recognised in the category ‘Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Age’ for their value proposition to improve employability in this technological era.

Thanks to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, both solutions provide information, free of charge, on employment opportunities in digital profiles offered by the labour market. Specifically, the Employment Map analyses the labour supply in Spain and shows the most in-demand professions and digital skills, as well as their evolution over time.

Joan Cruz, Director of Institutional Relations at Fundación Telefónica, during the award ceremony, said that this recognition reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to technological solutions for free guidance and training to improve the employability of people in this technological era with the aim of achieving inclusive digitisation.

This is the second time that the Foundation has received a Citizens’ Award, as in 2011 the corporate volunteering programme also received an award in recognition of its solidarity and social work.
