For the fourth consecutive year, according to the WURI ranking, Project 42 is among the top 10 most innovative universities in the world, ahead of prestigious institutions such as Princeton and Harvard.

42, the free programming campus is ranked in the TOP 10 of the most innovative universities in the world and does so revalidating the position achieved last year when it reached the sixth position. It is the first European institution in the ranking.

The 42 programming campuses reaffirm their position in the educational field among the most innovative universities ahead of institutions such as Princeton, Harvard, Oxford or Cambridge, according to the WURI ranking.

In 11 years, the 42 project, born in Paris in 2013, has become an international benchmark in the free training of the profiles of the future in key digital skills demanded by the labour market: big data, cybersecurity, blockchain, video game development and artificial intelligence.

In Spain, 42 is promoted by our institution, Telefonica. Foundation, together with public-private partnerships. Currently, there are four 42 campuses in Madrid, Urduliz (Bizkaia), Barcelona and Malaga. These centres are part of the ‘42 Network’, in which there are 54 campuses in 31 countries and more than 21,000 students.

42, much more than programming

42 breaks with all the paradigms of education because, in 42, students are the protagonists of their own learning (step by step and free of charge).

What makes the 42 method differentIt is a learning model that completely breaks with the traditional educational model

  • They are programming campuses that open the door to peer-to-peer training, without teachers, books or classes.
  • It is a free method open to people over 18 years of age, with no prior technical knowledge or requirements.
  • It is a model aimed at training both in digital skills, the most in-demand skills in today’s job market, and in ‘transversal skills’ such as resilience and adaptation to change, frustration tolerance, creativity and, above all, teamwork, among many others.
  • It ensures 100% employability for all students who pass the so-called ‘common core’, the first seven levels of the practical training itinerary of 42.
  • Our 42 campuses in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and Urduliz offer the necessary tools to face all the technological changes that any person faces throughout their career. At 42 you ‘learn to learn’ by developing the ability to adapt and find solutions to problems based on current knowledge and tools.
  • Not only do you learn programming, cybersecurity, design, blockchain, etc., but also communication, leadership, frustration tolerance, teamwork…
