Why do we say “digital transformation” if we mean “the future”?
Digital transformation is a fashionable concept. It includes all the different changes which will take place in businesses and in the economy in order to take full advantage of the technology accumulated in recent decades.
Date: June 2015
Location: Espacio Fundación Telefónica Madrid
Until now we have merely played with technology, but the time has come for these technologies, particularly ICTs, to make economic impact, and that means putting them to work for business.
The digital transformation will change everything, from the way businesses organise themselves to the way they relate to clients. All areas will be affected, from marketing to finance. According to some analysts, 40% of existing businesses will not survive this change, which means an in-depth knowledge of the change is needed.
At this event, four speakers who have analysed this topic in depth and who have been chosen for having published books and articles on the digital transformation, talked us about their vision of what this great change is and how it will develop.
