Curated by Eurídice Cabañes, the exhibition is organized around two interconnected themes linked by interactive spaces. The first, ‘Inside the Screen’, showcases the development process of a video game. The second, ‘Outside the Screen’, explores the industry’s repercussions and impact on the real world, beyond the virtual environment.
“This exhibition is a replica of the one presented at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, and aims to show us the many facets of one of the most influential cultural and creative industries of our time. “We are pleased, once again, to join forces to bring this exhibition and create an initiative for Venezuelan society that promotes education, science, and technology,” said Inés Sandra Machado, Head of Corporate Affairs and Fundación Telefónica Movistar.
‘Video Games: Both Sides of the Screen’ can be enjoyed free of charge in Room 6 of the Science Museum in Caracas through May 2026. The public can visit the exhibition on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; on Thursdays during extended hours from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as part of the “night museum” program; and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The exhibition will also feature a program of educational and cultural activities for visitors.
