The first part of this book is an exhaustive review of this entire evolution, including the most relevant information and events that have taken place in Spain and the rest of the world during this time. The simple comparison of a mobile telephone from the year 2000 – with large dimensions, a small, monochrome screen, and exclusively used for calls and messages – with a Smartphone from 2009 clearly illustrates this leap. If the first part of this book is the film of recent years, the second part is the snapshot of the year 2009. Along the same lines as the content from previous reports, the year's trends and the most representative information from different areas are included, which provides an overall view of how the sector is doing.
