In its 11th Edition, the report on the Information Society in Spain has reinvented itself, reducing its size to a notable extent by synthesizing the key indicators, data and changes that allow providing a description of the current situation of the sector. The opening chapter introduces the 10 keys for the year; the second chapter provides graphic visualizations of the most relevant data in connection with network connectivity and the availability of both the access points and the terminals that facilitate the enjoyment of the Information Society. In addition, the report analyses issues concerning the impact from the use of Information and Communication Technologies in different fields and sectors of the economic and social reality. The third chapter presents a study based on Telefónica data to understand digital life and reality. Finally, in the fourth chapter, the report offers an overview of each Autonomous Community, an approach that undoubtedly confers a special value to the work. In this new stage, the line of the Information Society contains, in addition to this indicator compilation report, a set of case specific reports thoroughly studying each individual trend. Issues such as the future of electronic publications or Augmented Reality are some of the in-depth studies that are being prepared, and which help understand this increasingly rich and comprehensive digital world.
