Fundación Telefónica holds its first ‘Cultura en Digital’ forum

25, 26 and 27 May 2021

#CulturaEnDigital

Fundación Telefónica held its first ‘Cultura en Digital’ forum from 25 to 27 May, at which we looked at a series of matters related to the impact of digitalisation on the cultural industry during the pandemic.

Modern digital trends are becoming increasingly more common in the world of culture and the arts. The possibilities offered by new technologies represent a paradigm shift, challenging the traditional way in which we understand culture.

Over three days from 25 to 27 May, we looked at the digitalisation of culture as a new social ecology, in which digital technologies have introduced new practices and where the cultural sector needs to find appropriate ways to work. The Forum enjoyed the presence of prestigious cultural institutions including ICOM, the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, the Teatro Real, Fundación Juan March and AC/E Acción Cultural Española, with a number of debate sessions with specialists who have put into practice the most innovative technological applications in the sector.

The Cultura en Digital forum, which was open to all, was an excellent opportunity for various protagonists of this process to share their concerns, proposals and expectations. Consult the programme for each day:
